How to Be a Auto Ins. Broker in NYC?
Hi There, I'm looking into getting into the auto insurance business.
I will like to be brokering auto insurance for limo drivers, black car, livery etc type of insurance. I would like to get info on how to go about to get started. I don't have a license and would like info on which one would be the correct one. thanks for the help in advance.

There is only one or two carriers that write black car service in NY and all of the cars are already insured by them.
The way to get started would be to get licensed. Then find a place to work that will train you properly to sell p&c.

Re: How to Be a Auto Ins. Broker in NYC? To take the exam I used ExamFx's online program.
To get training you have to work for someone as a producer. Check on craigslist, call a few agencies in your local area, or think about going the captive route for a bit.

Livery business is very labor intensive. I do a lot of auto and are located in the Bronx if you have any questions.
