Tulsa Community College and Lobeck Taylor partner to present ...

Tulsa Community College is fueling entrepreneurialism and economic growth in Tulsa and Oklahoma with a competition that inspires startups to unleash their big ideas.

The TCC StartUp Cup, powered by Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation, kicks off its 2012 competition at 5:30 p.m. April 10 at the Center for Creativity on the TCC Metro Campus.

Kristen Ross, founder of PregoFIT, was named the $30,000 grand prize winner of the 2011 SpiritBank/Tulsa Community College Entrepreneurial Spirit Award competition, which is the same competition under a new name.

The kick off is an opportunity for local business owners and potential competitors to talk with StartUp judges, coaches and past winners about starting and operating successful business startups.

The competition is open to anyone with a new business idea or a business that has been in operation less than five years. Attendance at the kickoff is not required to enter the competition. The entry period for the competition is April 10 ? May 14 at http://tcc.startupcup.com/.
