Our client is at the forefront of the medical device technology development with operations globally. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the design and development team based in Sydney.

Responsibilities:

• In collaboration with team members and colleagues from other departments; research, design, and development of products for manufacture.
• Carry out testing, verification and validation of designed products to ensure they meet the design specifications and anticipated usage during product life cycle.
• Develop test/measurement capabilities according to need.
• Seek input from team members and across the business including; marketing, manufacturing, quality and regulatory affairs team to ensure the products being developed satisfy all necessary requirements.
• Liaise with internal customers and suppliers in relation to design issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering plus minimum 5 -8 years? experience in a mechanical design engineer role
• Significant experience in engineering design and verification
• Understanding of technical architecture and multiple Engineering disciplines
• Demonstrated experience in using Pro-Engineer (Pro-E)
• Demonstrated ability to lead/supervise cross functional engineering teams
• Excellent communication skills ? written, presentation and verbal
