The Boston area hotel hosts 5th annual Home Sweet Home, a dessert and wine tasting in the President?s Ballroom, as part of a partnership with Cool Cat Events

Cambridge, MA (PRWEB) October 11, 2012

Whether guests have a sweet tooth, a big heart or both, this year?s 5th annual Home Sweet Home dessert and wine tasting at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge is the hottest ticket in town. This tempting event takes place on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 6:00-10:00 PM. The tasting benefits Home Base, a partnership between the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital. These organizations are dedicated to improving the lives of veterans who deployed in support of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan and live with deployment or combat related stress and/or traumatic brain injury.

Hosted by Billy Costa (NECN?s TV Diner), Home Sweet Home supports veterans by bringing together 20 of the best dessert chefs from Boston, Cambridge and surrounding areas in a battle for the best sweets. The Celebrity Judges for the 2012 Dessert Competition are: Jill Epstein (Host, Where to Eat and Drink Boston), Jordan Rich (WBZ Radio Host), Andrew Rimas (Editor, The Improper Bostonian), and Amy Traverso (Senior Lifestyle Editor at Yankee Magazine).

This tantalizing culinary event is hosted by Executive Chef, Robert Daugherty of Zephyr on the Charles at Hyatt Regency Cambridge. Chef Daugherty states, ?It is an absolute pleasure to be hosting the 5th annual Home Sweet Home at Hyatt Regency Cambridge. Our associates take pride in being able to give back to the community and we are thrilled to be supporting Home Base and the many veterans who have defended and fought for this country and our freedom.?

Home Sweet Home will be an evening filled with delectable dishes, wine tastings, music by the Love Dogs, dinner, dancing raffles, auctions and much more! Since inception Home Sweet Home has brought in over $500,000 and last year?s event sold out early. Don?t miss the sweetest event of the year!
